Job Brief
A long standing customer of CV Screen approached us to source a QA Test Engineer with some knowledge of Automated Test Tools.
Ideally, the candidate would have experience of API Testing and any knowledge of the Cucumber BDD framework was highly desirable.
The role is working on a remote basis, with occasional travel to offices in either London or Cardiff.
Recruitment Process
Our first starting point was to run a highly targeted search on the databases for candidates with Cucumber Framework and Selenium (knowing that this would provide us with the right profile of candidates).
We also advertised the role as a remote position but found that a lot of applications were outside of the UK which wasn’t going to work for this role (occasional travel to the office in London or Cardiff was required).
Our search saw us interview candidates in the UK to understand their reasons for wanting a remote-based role. It was also crucial for the candidates to be able to demonstrate their depth of experience using automated test tools.
We submitted five CVs for the role, securing interviews for four candidates (all conducted via Teams).
About Suki
Suki demonstrated experience using Selenium and also a couple of projects where she had worked with the testing tool Cucumber.
She was looking for a remote role to fit with family commitments and had already been working on a remote basis in her current role.
Based in Cardiff, the option to pop along to the office was also appealing, and given the career prospects available within this role, she was delighted to accept the role of QA Test Engineer.
